Follow new updates and improvements to CodeScene.

Release Notes 7.5.13

Improvements

X-ray analysis for Python is now significantly faster, thanks to a new lightweight parser for function and class boundary detection.

Python Code Health support has been expanded to support additional language constructs. This affects scoring of async/await functions, multi-line with (...) blocks and functions that end in try/except. These improvements can result in some Python files obtaining different Code Health scores even when the code has not changed.

Fixed

Reduced database load from PR integrations. CodeScene no longer looks up which projects use a PR integration preset when handling pull request webhooks, cloning repositories, or opening the PR Integration page. A database index was also added to speed up the lookup.

Developers REST API returns other developers email addresses

Fixed GitLab PR integration on self-managed GitLab hosts calling gitlab.com instead of the host's own API when no GitLab API URL was configured; the API URL is now derived from the repository host.

In delta analysis Large Method was incorrectly reported as fixed when a method gained enough complexity to also trigger Complex Method. Large Method now remains visible for functions that are both large and complex.

Fix a 500 response on the GitLab MR merged event hook

Release Notes 7.5.11

New

Add Azure support to the PR Refactoring Agent.

Improvements

Add support in On-Prem for GitHub Apps as a way to authenticate with GitHub.

How to run the CodeScene CLI as part of a git pre-commit hook now documented.

Fixed

Improved handling of wrong clone URLs in project configuration page.

Reduce locking when reading remove URLs with git.

Delta analysis thinks entire ruby class is one method.

Support minified C++ code for all smells.

Changed API for architectural components, it will now return 204 response if component exists but doesn't match any paths in repository.

TypeScript: Functions with readonly T[] parameter types were silently excluded from Code Health analysis. Functions using this parameter form now receive the same analysis, scoring, and quality gate coverage as equivalent ReadonlyArray<T> or plain T[] signatures.

Ruby: improved parsing of endless methods.

Unable to check coverage using cobertura file.

Scoped Jira API tokens now work with Jira Cloud integrations.
